Screen printing dinosaurs |
In screen printing we have a multitude of possibilities and with them we can simulate various peculiar finishes.
To print this dinosaur fossil I resorted to an irregular and flawed texture effect, without following any pattern it ended up remembering satisfactorily what an archaeologist would think is the fossilized remains of a T-Rex (a very drunk archaeologist)!
The technical way of making was practically the same as the texture effect, previously demonstrated and explained here in Let's Print! Just replacing plastisol with its Neanderthal cousin, the Puff relief!
- Pigmented puff paste applied on semi-rigid substrate (sweatshirt)
-First dab with intermediate cure, second with full cure, third and fourth with careless excess of paint and thermo expansion.
-Healing with thermal blower.
-No out of contact, as the intention is that the newly applied paint sticks to the canvas and distorts the finish.
And for those who think that screen printing is a Jurassic souvenir and that textile screen printing is an endangered species, then I present her fossil.

In practice:
-Screen 77 threads, diazo water based emulsion.- Pigmented puff paste applied on semi-rigid substrate (sweatshirt)
