How to use metallic water based ink

Metallic ink is a good and simple option for prints with a differentiated glossy effect, since it has the practicality of water-based ink. Although, of course, its finish does not match that of Plastisol or Foil.

In the example above I used Hydro Metallic paint in pigmented red and silver tones (colorless paint with common pigment).
I prefer to buy ready-made gold, because acquiring the golden hue can be a challenge.

What kind of screen to use?

The polyester of the screen is ideal that I know well open, with 32, 44, 55 threads ... So that there are no jams, a common fact since this paint dries very quickly on the screen, especially on dry days, for its composition with a micro metallic powder. This inconvenience can be reduced by using a retardant additive in the dilution of the paint.

It has great coverage, good elasticity, and a very soft and pearly finish.
You don't need a white background, however if it was pre-printed I noticed it brings even more shine to the print.
